Internal Medicine is a subset of veterinary medicine that is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions affecting one or more body systems in all ages of equine patients. In a broad sense, the field of internal medicine can apply to any condition that is not completely treated by surgical intervention alone. Some subspecialties include cardiology, neonatology, neurology, performance medicine, urology, gastroenterology, and ophthalmology. Our facility is fully equipped for ultrasonography of the thorax and abdomen, in-house equipment for routine blood work, medical colics, respiratory disease, and isolation cases. If you are unable to haul-in many conditions can be diagnosed and treated on the farm.
