Appointment Coordinator Position

 
 

Our appointment coordinator works full-time Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Primary duties include answering phone calls, updating client/patient information, scheduling appointments for the clinic, and other general office duties.  Appointments include outpatient procedures, field appointments, and emergencies. 

Although equine experience is beneficial for this position, it is not required. Applicants should be comfortable using our computer and phone systems after in-house training.  They should also be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment, be detail oriented, have excellent people and communication skills. Verbal and written communication are an integral part of this position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

(All new employees go through an initial on-site training period)

  • Use of hospital management software to maintain hospital/patient records and scheduling for daily appointments

  • Coordinating multiple doctors’ appointments in the field and in-house

  • Adjust schedules based on client needs and doctor availability

  • Communicate schedule changes effectively to clients, staff, and doctors
