SAH: Veterinary Voodoo

  • Southern Equine Service 1258 Banks Mill Rd Aiken United States (map)

Something About a Horse meeting (SAH) series:The clinic hosts monthly sessions the last Wednesday of every month on various equine topics. These meetings usually include a short lecture followed by an interactive demonstration. These meetings are FREE to attend and you do not have to be a client. So join us at the hospital and bring your friends the last Wednesday of each month.

Voodoo, Hoodoo, and Hocus Pocus! Sometimes veterinarians have some strange recommendations. Just in time for Halloween, in this month's meeting we'll discuss "Veterinary Voodoo" reviewing some of the less conventional topics in veterinary medicine. We'll discuss the scientific reasoning behind integrative medicine topics such as chiropractic and acupuncture. We'll also discuss which treatments are helpful (like beer for non-sweaters) vs hurtful (like kerosene for rain rot).

Hope to see you there!

(please note there will be no actual witchcraft or wizardry and we mean no offense to anyone who may have alternative practices or beliefs)
